It feels like the first day of Spring and I’m in a lovely part of the UK. Had a great time on Sunday at the Bristol Jazz and Blues festival. Hats off to Denny Illet for organising it. Had a great gig playing with Pee Wee Ellis. it was a privilege to play with the musician responsible for creating so many brilliant James Brown tunes – and to be given some tips on playing Cold Sweat. yes!

Wednesday back down to Exeter for a workshop and gig and Thursday Kathy Dyson, Sarah P and I play at the Bbar in Plymouth. Join in with the workshop where we’ll be exploring different approaches to the blues and jazz.
