SOLD OUT
Her magnificent soul voice, emotional power and her live performances
have created a devoted following for one of the UK’s most charismatic vocalists.
Sarah Jane Morris
‘Morris does not interpret soul. She is soul, with all its passion and pain, joy and sorrow, hard times and highs.’ THE GAZETTE, MONTREAL
with Tony Remy and Tim Cansfield guitars
Sarah-Jane Morris is the British soul, jazz and r&b singer who topped the UK pop charts for a month in 1986 (with The Communards? disco version of ?Don?t Leave Me This Way?) and then eloquently and joyously sidestepped the mainstream ever after.
Her latest album Bloody Rain, an ambitious collection of love-songs, tributes, warnings and protests that she regards as the best album of her life, was released in September 2014.
?There’s no hiding place at a Sarah Jane Morris gig ? (either) from her opulent, multi-octave voice and raw emotional clout that recalls Nina Simone and Janis Joplin.’
